ASBALAID Board, Staff, & Meeting Dates
The Arkansas State Board of Architects, Landscape Architects and Interior Designers (ASBALAID) consists of nine (9) members, appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate for terms of five (5) years, or until their successors are duly appointed and qualified. Five (5) members are architects of recognized standing who have been engaged in the independent practice of architecture for at least (10) years before appointment. Two (2) members who are not actively engaged in or retired from the professions of architecture, interior design, or landscape architecture represent consumers, and are appointed from the state at large. The remaining two (2) positions are filled by one (1) landscape architect and one (1) registered interior designer, both of recognized standing.

BOARD AND COMMITTEE MEETINGS
The Arkansas State Board of Architects, Landscape Architects and Interior Designers (ASBALAID) meets at least once each quarter and may meet more often as necessary. The meetings are held for the Board to make decisions on various policy issues. The Board reviews, revises, ratifies, or rejects recommendations and decisions made by the Board's committees and staff. The Board also has several committees that meet as needed.
Board meetings are normally held in the ASBALAID Conference Room located in the Main Street Mall Building at 101 East Capitol Avenue, Suite 110, Little Rock, AR 72201-3822. Board meetings are open to the public and are held in a barrier-free facility in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Any person with a disability who requires a disability-related modification or accommodation in order to participate in the public meeting may make a request for such by contacting ASBALAID at 501-682-3171 no later than three days prior to the scheduled meeting date.
