LITTLE ROCK - At the request of Senators Keith Ingram of West Memphis and Johnny Key of Mountain Home, there will be a joint meeting at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, of the Senate Transportation, Technology and Legislative Affairs Committee and the House Transportation Committee. It will be in Room B of the Big Mac Building.
Officials of the State Police and the Highway and Transportation Department have been invited to attend to join a discussion of the problems that occurred along the Interstate 40/Interstate 55 corridor from West Memphis to Blytheville during the recent winter storm. Traffic came to a complete halt and the governor has called the state's response "not acceptable."
