Steve Cole currently serves as the Chair of the ARDC, Fire Protection/Community Grant, and GIF-1 Community Enhancement Grant Subcommittees. He was appointed to the ARDC in 2005 by the former Governor, Mike Huckabee. Steve is presently employed as the Vice Chancellor/Dean of Academics at Cossatot Community College-UA. Other organizational activities include serving as President of region six of the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), a member of NRA, and board member of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). In his “spare time” Steve’s interests include antique autos, outdoor sports, equestrian competitions, and spending time with his 17 year-old daughter Morgan. Steve Cole is currently running for State Representative for District 21. |

Mellie Boagni-Watson was appointed to the ARDC in 2006 by former Governor Mike Huckabee. She currently serves as the ARDC Vice-Chair and a member of the RCGP and GIF-1 Community Enhancement Grant Sub-committees. Mellie enjoys spending time with her two daughters, Lillie and Camille. Her other interests include speed walking with her golden retriever Buffett, tennis, and Cajun cooking. Mellie is currently employed as the Director of Program Development for Chicot Memorial Hospital and Managing Director of Delta AHEC South. She also serves as a member of the Lake Village Chamber of Commerce and Director of the Chicot Community Health Network. |

Sam Angel was appointed to the ARDC by the Speaker of the House of Representatives in 2000 and appointed to a full five year term by the Governor in February of this year. He has served as the Grant Chair for the Rural Community Grant Program sub-committee, of which he is till a member. He also serves on the GIF-1 Community Enhancement Grant Sub-committee. Mr. Angel is a former member of the Arkansas General Assembly. He is the Vice President of Epstein Land Co. and Epstein Gin Co. and enjoys hunting and other outdoor activities. |

Mr. Jessup is the President and CEO of DeWitt Bank and Trust, a community bank in Southeast Arkansas. He raised rice and soybeans with his father and brother for 25 years before getting into the banking business. He currently serves on the DeWitt Hospital commission, DeWitt airport commission and the Patillio Center board. Mr. Jessup enjoys hunting and general aviation. |

Keith Provence - Keith Provence was appointed to the ARDC by the Senate President Pro Tem in 2007. He was born and raised in Batesville and has worked in the telecommunications industry for the last 26 years. He currently work as a field technician for Suddnelink Communications. Mr. Provence has been involved in the Independence County Fair for the last eight years and is serving his second year as fair board president. He has also served on the parade committee for the White River Water Carnival. Mr. Provence and his wife have two grown children and are very active in their church which includes teaching a college and young adult class. His hobbies include singing, songwriting and guitar. |

Dale Freeman was appointed to the ARDC in 2007 by Governor Mike Beebe. He serves on the County Fair and GIf-3 County Fair Grant Sub-committees. He is now retired after 36 years of service in the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. He serves as the long time mayor of Portia, Chairman of the Lawrence County Democratic Central Committee, and received the 2005 Harold Jinks award from the Arkansas Democratic Party. Dale enjoys fishing, hunting, and cattle farming. Dale and his wife Mary also enjoy spending time with their son, three daughters, and five grandchildren. |

In addition to serving on the ARDC, he also serves as Chairman of Arkansas Tennis Patrons, 1st National Bank of McGehee Board, McGehee Industrial Foundation Board, Chairman of the McGehee Water Commission, and is a member of the First Presbyterian Church. |
