The Arkansas State Board of Registration for Professional Soil Classifiers was created by Act 460 of 1975. The purpose of the Board is to register Professional Soil Classifiers and Soil Classifiers-in-Training and to regulate the profession of soil classifying. In carrying out these duties the board must:

  • establish rules and regulations, by-lays, and a code of ethics,

  • administer examinations,

  • examine other credentials of applicants,

  • enforce provisions of the act and restrain violation of the act,

  • keep records of proceedings,

  • collect registration and other fees,

  • report annually to the Governor regarding the activities of the Board, and,

  • carry out other activities normal to such boards.
