Teen Safety
< Overview

The mission of the Teen Safety Program is to equip teens with the knowledge of safety procedures, as well as the work hours and duties that are allowed by the State labor laws and OSHA regulations.

Youth 2 Work UB SAFE

In order to facilitate this mission, the Safety Division and Labor Standards Division of the Arkansas Department of Labor, and the U.S. Department of Labor's OSHA Area Office will be conducting Train-the-Trainer programs for employers, school counselors, local safety organizations, and other management groups. The program will empower the participants with the knowledge to conduct further training in their areas.

The Safety Division, Labor Standards Division, and OSHA Area Office will provide our teen safety films to all participating partners to utilize in promoting this program, and will be available to speak at various meetings at schools, colleges, universities, and businesses after an agreed upon date.

The Teen Safety Program is a national emphasis program targeting teen workers in all areas.
