Effective January 1, 2013 The International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards (The Conference) will take over the administering of our Arkansas State Law Exam. Please remember an applicant may qualify to take the Arkansas Laws Exam by one of the following ways :
- At the completion of eighteen (18) months of his/her apprenticeship
- Be a graduate of an accredited Mortuary (Embalming) School shall allow immediate eligibility.
If you meet those requirements you will be notified as well as The Conference will be notified of all eligible examinees on a monthly basis. Apprentices will be notified one time when they meet the edibility requirements. Eligible examinees should visit www.theconferenceonline.org click "For Students" then select "State Board Exam" you will then follow the links to the Arkansas exam. All examinees will register online or by mail through The Conference. You may also contact The Conference at (479) 442-7076 if you need a hard copy of the application. The Conference will have available a study guide you may purchase directly from them. The study guide is our Law, Rules, and Regulations Manual except with example questions at the end of each section. Eligible examinees will be allowed to re-test once every 30 days.
