Trade Adjustment Assistance

Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) is a benefit for those workers who lose their jobs or whose hours of work and wages are reduced as a result of foreign competition. TAA includes a variety of benefits and services to assist eligible workers prepare for and obtain suitable reemployment.

Trade Readjustment Allowances

Trade Readjustment Allowances (TRA) are a form of Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) that is paid to an eligible adversely affected worker on a weekly basis after he/she exhausts entitlement to regular unemployment compensation, including state and federal extensions.
