Fiscal Year 2013 Rate Adjustments Approved

DIS recently determined that in order to remain compliant with state and federal guidelines that rate adjustments would need to be made for fiscal year 2013. The rate approval process was completed with reviews and approvals by the Department of Finance and Administration, Joint Committee on Advanced Communication and Information Technology, and Legislative Council, and the new rates are now published. The required rate adjustments include some decreases, increases, and rates for new services.

Because DIS operates within the state of Arkansas to provide information technology services to state agencies and other approved governmental entities, state and federal laws and guidelines require DIS to operate as a cost recovery agency. This means that DIS must bill customers for all provided services. DIS monitors over and under recoveries for services on a periodic basis during the fiscal year. An over or under recovery occurs when the amount of cost to provide a service does not match the amount of revenue received for the service.

Fiscal year 2013 rates will be effective July 1, 2012. Both current rates and rates for FY2013 may be viewed on our website at www.dis.arkansas.gov under the products and services tab. If you have any questions about the rate adjustments, please contact DIS Billing at dis.billing.inquiries@arkansas.gov or 501.682.4010, or you may contact your customer account manager or send an e-mail to dis.customer.service@arkansas.gov.
