DIS adjusts rates for Fiscal Year 2011

DIS recently adjusted rates for services for Fiscal Year 2011 that will be effective July 1, 2010. The rate adjustments required will include rate decreases, a few rate increases, and rates that have been established for new service offerings for customers. We expect that these rate adjustments will have an overall positive impact for the majority of our customers. You may review the new product and services list with rates at http://www.dis.arkansas.gov/productsServices/Pages/DISBillingRates.aspx.

DIS operates within the State of Arkansas to provide information technology services to state agencies and other approved governmental entities. State and federal laws and guidelines require DIS to operate as a cost recovery agency, billing for the services provided to its customers.

DIS monitors over and under recoveries for its services on a periodic basis during the fiscal year. An over or under recovery occurs when the amount of cost to provide a service does not match the amount of revenue received for the service. As a result, DIS has determined that rate adjustments are necessary for state and federal compliance for Fiscal Year 2011.
