Summary of Changes
Due
to the rapid growth of participants in the AAPD waiver program and the number of
slots available, DHS has received federal approval to revert back to the AAPD
waiver program being available only to the original targeted group, those 21 to
64 years old. This change is
effective July 15, 2009.
Specific
policy changes are below:
MS
26105 and 26115 have been revised to delete the option of remaining in an AAPD
waiver when one reaches the age of 65.
MS
26169 (Choice of Services for AAPD Recipients Turning Age 65) has been deleted,
as it is no longer applicable.
MS
26170 has been revised to incorporate the procedures for AAPD waiver recipients
turning age 65 and applies for ElderChoices.
