Welcome to the Arkansas Division of
Services for the Blind (DSB), a division of the Department of Human
Services, DSB was established in 1983 under a consumer board. By law, the
majority of the board must be blind.
We provide an array of services to visually
impaired Arkansans statewide affording the opportunity to live full and
productive lives, with dignity and self respect.
We will acquaint you with the history,
philosophy, organizational structure and programs of DSB. We strive to
provide high quality vocational rehabilitation and rehabilitation teaching
services with a highly trained and caring staff of dedicated employees who
are the backbone of the Division of Services for the Blind.

Statement
The Arkansas Division of Services for the Blind (DSB) is committed to providing specialized, quality
rehabilitation services to blind and visually impaired Arkansans, creating opportunities
for individuals to achieve maximum personal and economic independence. We are further
committed to promoting positive awareness about blindness, and advocating for informed
choices and equal opportunity for blind Arkansans; thereby changing the present to improve
the future.
