Waiver
Services
Provides intake and referral
for all adults seeking services through and with this division. To be
eligible, people must have a developmental disability documented prior to age
22 that is expected to require long term care. Assistance includes
referral to various community programs and state/non state facilities.
Special funding may be available to provide short term care and
assistance. Included as an intake and referral activity, is assistance in
applying for the Alternative Community Services Home and Community Based Waiver
program. This program is a comprehensive Medicaid program that provides
long term community care for all ages zero to death. Waiver
services implements, administrates, and oversees this waiver program.
