Transition

Participants will gain knowledge in federal regulations governing transition from early intervention to early childhood services.  The transition process and timelines requirements will be reviewed as discussed as the child sequentially progresses from early intervention services to Early Childhood and then to kindergarten.  This course may be credited towards continuing education hours for certification in service coordination, speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and developmental therapy. This course in not required annually. (3 hours)

Surrogate Parent Trainer's Course

Participants will gain the knowledge to train individuals as "surrogate" parents for educational/developmental purposes under the Individuals With Disabilities Education Act. Participants must be certified as a service coordinator to register. This course may be credited towards continuing education hours for certification in service coordination. (3 hours)
