Evidence Receiving

The Evidence Receiving Section is responsible for receiving, storing, transferring and releasing all evidence submitted by the Federal, State, County and Municipal investigative agencies in the state.

The section's primary goal is the safeguard of all evidence in the custody of the Lab and maintaining an accurate chain of custody for each item of evidence. During the last two years, (2002 and 2003), the section received approximately eighty thousand items of evidence.

The section is staffed by a Section Chief and six Technicians.
