There are recognitions and incentives for examiners as they progress through schools.  This past fall, I assisted in interviewing five new employees, a couple of whom were at the top of their class.

This newsletter marks the ending of my first year as Arkansas Bank Commissioner.  Let me give you my observations after my first year.  Having been a banker for the past 30 years and not a regulator, I can give you an unbiased opinion of the quality of State Bank Department staff.  I have been very impressed with the quality and knowledge of our employees.  This staff is as good as any I have worked with in my career.  Let me tell you why.

A copy of revised Administrative Policy #002 in Arkansas State Bank Department Rules and Regulations recently was mailed to each bank holding company.
