The Arkansas State Bank Department regulates
only those mortgage corporations/brokers which are subsidiaries of
commercial banks chartered by the State of
The ASD also regulates state chartered
credit unions, savings and loan institutions, money transmitters and check
cashers (in some cases). The State Board
of Collection Agencies is the primary regulator of check cashers (see A.C.A.
23-52-101..117).
