Chapter 50 of the Arkansas
Code, Title 17, governs Water Well Constructors. When people
refer to the “Water Well Construction Act,” they are referring to this body of
law. Up until the 2003 Legislative Session, Chapter 50 contained three
subchapters: General Provisions, Commission on Water Well Construction, and
Certificates, Licenses, and Permits. Act 855 of 2003 added an additional
subchapter, Rig Confiscation. Act 434 of 2007 increased the fees charged
