Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
It was recently readdressed and decided by the
Arkansas State Board of Chiropractic Examiners that oxygen, based on our
current law, is a legend drug and is not permissible in current
chiropractic practice, but oxygen concentrators and recreational oxygen
can be used.
If you are currently using a hyperbaric chamber with medical grade
oxygen, please know that due to oxygen being a legend drug, the use of
it would be a violation of 17-81-102 6(A) of the Arkansas Chiropractic
Rules, Regulations and Statutes.
