Rules and Regulations Section E(5). Acupuncture., page 11
(a) A chiropractic physician licensed to practice chiropractic pursuant to the Arkansas Chiropractic Practices Act, shall be entitled to practice acupuncture as part of chiropractic practice upon completion of one hundred (100) hours training in acupuncture/meridian therapy from a college accredited by the Council on Chiropractic Education.
(b) Prior to any chiropractic physician
engaging in the practice of acupuncture/meridian therapy, said physician
shall be required to submit to the Board of Examiners a certificate of
completion of one-hundred (100) hour's instruction in
Steps to Add Acupuncture to a License
1. Earn 100 hours of acupuncture/meridian therapy from a college accredited by the Council on Chiropractic Education.
2. Receive a transcript or certificate for the training.
3. Submit a copy of the transcript or certificate to the Board office.
4. The Board office will mail an official letter and an acupuncture certificate. The license will be updated to include acupuncture.
Note: if there are any discrepancies or there is anything unusual about the classes/hours earned, it will be submitted to the Board for review.
