ABOUT THE ARKANSAS GENERAL ASSEMBLY

Title XI of the Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery and Enforcement Act of 1989, a federal law, requires all states to regulate individuals who appraise real property in federally related transactions.

In response to that act, the Arkansas General Assembly created the Arkansas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board, and gave it authority, within federal and state guidelines, to establish standards for real estate appraisals, set qualifications for real estate appraisers, and discipline real estate appraisers

Great Seal Of The State Of Arkansas.
