booklet contains information you will need to
apply for either the Arkansas Appraiser Licensure
or Certification Examination. The booklet covers
the eligibility requirements to sit for the examinations,
as well as important information about applying
for and taking the examinations, receiving and
interpreting your examination results, and what
to do after you have taken the examination.
Please
read ALL directions completely and carefully.
Do not contact the Arkansas Appraiser Licensing
and Certification Board or the testing company
until you have thoroughly read this booklet. The
Arkansas Appraiser Licensing and Certification
Board can respond to eligibility questions.

ABOUT THE ARKANSAS
GENERAL ASSEMBLY |
Title XI of the Financial Institutions
Reform, Recovery and Enforcement Act of 1989, a federal law, requires all states to
regulate individuals who appraise real property in federally related transactions.
In response to
that act, the Arkansas General Assembly
created the Arkansas Appraiser Licensing
and Certification Board, and gave it authority,
within federal and state guidelines, to
establish standards for real estate appraisals,
set qualifications for real estate appraisers,
and discipline real estate appraisers
.
