Thomas G. Rife

Tom Rife, 209 Northwest “A” Street, Bentonville, AR 72712. (479) 273-7406. Term expires 1/15/2011, eligible for reappointment. A certified general appraiser since 1992, he currently practices in Bentonville and the majority of his work is of a commercial nature. Rife was Chairman of the Board of the Bentonville/Bella Vista Chamber of Commerce and has 16 years of experience as a member of the City of Bentonville’s Planning Commission. He is a founding member of the Living Waters United Methodist Church. Currently, Rife serves on the Board of Directors of the Benton County Habitat for Humanity. He is married to Donna Tipton Rife and they have three children and five grandchildren.

A senior forester and certified general appraiser since 1992, has been President of Kingwood Forestry Services from 1983 to May 2000. Has a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry from the University of Missouri and graduate studies in Forest Economics from Iowa State University. Married with one grown daughter.

Holds Board seat reserved for a senior citizen but is also a veteran real estate broker and appraiser, land developer and cattleman. Term expires 1/15/2009; not eligible for re-appointment. Licensed real estate broker in Missouri since 1962, Arkansas since 1976. A Master Senior Appraiser, has owned Coats Appraisal Service since 1988. Married with 3 children, 5 grandchildren; has spent much of the last 10 years as president of the Greenbrier (AR) School District Board.

The Rev. Dr. Horace G. Howard Jr., 1001 S. 19th St., Blytheville, AR 72315; (870) 763-6983. Serves in seat designated by law for consumer for term expiring Jan. 15, 2010; eligible for reappointment. Pastor of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church; employed by Mississippi County Economic Opportunity Commission as director of Faith-Based Initiative. Active in many local groups. Doctorate is from Minnesota Graduate School of Theology, Minneapolis, and graduated Arkansas Baptist College in Social Studies with minor in elementary education. Married; one son.

Also licensed in Mississippi and Louisiana where he performs farm and recreational land appraisals. Candidate member of American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. Married with 5 grown daughters and 6 grandchildren. Active in First United Methodist Church in Wynne.

The Rausch Co. primarily does residential appraisals in Sebastian/Crawford counties in Arkansas and selected east Oklahoma communities. Graduated 1979 from University of Arkansas. Has real estate brokers license. Married with 2 children, Rausch is a football and baseball youth coach, Boy Scout leader and Sunday School teacher.

A Certified General appraiser since 1996 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Mississippi. Owns and operates Chiles Appraisal Service in Joiner, AR. Since 1997, he has been a Master Senior Appraiser with the National Association of Master Appraisers and is a candidate for accreditation with the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. Bruce is involved in community service as a member of the Board of Directors, St. Francis Levee District and is a past president and member of the Mississippi County Equalization Board. He is also a certified appraiser in Missouri and Mississippi.

B.A. McIntosh, 12615 St. Charles Blvd, Little Rock, AR 72211. (501) 375-1479. Term expires 1/15/2011 and is eligible for reappointment. He is a Certified General appraiser and held the office of Pulaski County Assessor for twenty years retiring from that position in 2000. He currently works for Affiliated Real Estate Appraisers. He was the Charter President of the IAAO Chapter in Arkansas and is a Board member of the Arkansas Appraisers’ Association and the Vice-President of the Arkansas Appraisal Foundation. He is married to Beverly McIntosh and they have one son, Alex.

Married to retired school teacher Sara, also an MAI; 2 sons by a previous marriage and 3 grandchildren. Active in Christ the King parish and Diocese of Little Rock.

He has been in the banking business since 1983 and currently is Vice-President with Regions Bank since 2002. Received his accounting degree from Mississippi State University at Starkville in 1970. He has spent 17 years as a unit leader for the Boy Scouts until retiring recently but still remains on the organization’s Council Executive Board. He and his wife, Pam, have four children.
