Jesse G Sharp appointed to ADFA Board of Directors

The Arkansas Development Finance Authority (ADFA) has had Jessie G. Sharp of Beebe, retired Director of Multi-Family Housing and Community Facilities loan and grant programs for USDA Rural Development (formerly Farmers Home Administration) appointed to its board of directors where he will serve through January 2012. As director of loan and grant programs in Arkansas for 18 years the Agency in Arkansas made annual loan and grants ranging from 7,000,000 to $15,000,000 per year and maintained a servicing portfolio in excess of $325,000,000 with a zero delinquency rate.

His is experience in affordable housing development will play an important role in helping ADFA respond to the changing needs of Arkansas’s growing and increasingly diverse population. ADFA currently administers the following affordable housing development programs:

ADFA was created in 1977 with a charge to issue tax-exempt bonds to support affordable home ownership for the citizens of Arkansas. Since that time, the agency assumed responsibility for many additional housing programs and added economic development, agriculture, export finance, infrastructure finance, venture capital and many other programs to its mission of providing development capital for the state.
